As of the moment, I am in third place in the 2010 Cannon Ball Awards for Catholic bloggers in the category of “Best Under Appreciated Catholic Blog.”
I appreciate your support. This is a fun competition meant, I believe, to be light-hearted and to raise awareness of good Catholic blogs that are out there.
Polls are open for another couple of days only. PLEASE VOTE for this blog. I will need another 100 votes in just a couple of days…… get your family and friends to look at this blog and to vote.
Log on to: http://www.thecrescat.blogspot.com and click on the 2010 Cannon Ball Awards icon on the upper right. Scroll down to the category “Best Underappreciated Blog” and click on the bullet next to Catholic Faith and Reflections. Then click “vote” at the bottom of that category.
Blessings on all of you!

No way! You might come in a nice second, but I’ve got quite the machine going on over at Shoved to Them. You seem nice, but you’re going down!
(I like your blog BTW.)
Hey, we’ll see. You obviously have a cadre of people voting multiple times! I wish I could get my core readers to do the same.
Seriously, I am happy you decided to wander over to take a look at my blog. Stop by again!
Deacon Bob
Deacon Bob- I have devoted minions who are as amused by this whole thing as I am. I also joined forces with Wynken, Blynken and Nod, Acts of the Apostasy, and Defend Us in Battle to have our readers support our bloc. This isn’t our first rodeo!
Thanks for the invite, I’ll be back!
the Mom
Well, that leaves me even more proud of my voters. They all are voting for this blog because they really think it is deserving, not because their primary allegiance is with another but abandoning their ship because they know it isn’t winning.
“Mom”, remember, this is all for fun. Don’t take it so seriously.
A diaconal blessing on you and your family.
Deacon Bob
Who’s taking it seriously? It’s a game. And as you said, a way to find new Catholic blogs.
What?!? This is just a game?
And I’m in fourth place now??? Time to bring out the big guns!! I refuse to go quietly into the night! My readers mustn’t abandon me now!!
Last year I won “Hifreakinlarious” because folks thought I was dying. I’ll have to come up with a different strategy this time around.
If this voting is such a “game” why are you people at each other’s throats?
mary – I’m just joking around. No one’s mad at each other. Honest.
@mary – the comments are all tongue-in-cheek and the awards are not serious.
Me, I happen to like deacons (they go nice with mustard). Didn’t the Holy Father say recently that clergy get spotted 10 points for blogging or something?
My good friend at the Q Continuum will be ordained a deacon in January. Thanks, Deacon Yerhot for your service and your blog.
(Are deacons allowed to be called “hot”?
j/k)
